MICHAEL LAWSKY

MICHAEL LAWSKY

Mike has broad experience in financial services with leadership positions in investment banking, alternatives, and asset management. Prior to forming GLI, LLC, Mike worked with a quantitative hedge fund in managing risk, trading, portfolio construction, distribution and operations. From 2010 to 2013 Mr. Lawsky was Managing Director at UBS, leading distribution, trading & research business units. From 1997-2010 Mike was a Managing Director at Barclays Capital/Lehman Brothers where he established and led a number of global trading, financing, sales and investment platforms. His industry relationships include highly complex and large alternative and traditional investment management firms, pension funds and broker dealers globally.

Mr. Lawsky also has sales experience across multiple investor channels including Fund of Funds, High Net Worth Individuals, Pension Funds, Corporations, RIAs and Family Offices. Mr. Lawsky has both an undergraduate and master’s degree from Cornell University.

Doug formed Gamble Hospitality in 2003. Gamble graduated from Cornell University in 1991 and immediately began working in franchise sales/development for Holiday Inn and US Franchise Systems. During this time, Gamble estimates he toured more than 1,400 hotels/motels. Spending countless hours with owners and operators, Gamble learned not only what these owners/operators considered their secret to success, but equally important, what to avoid—chief among those was to stay clear of markets without significant barriers to entry.

Periods of excess supply have been problematic to the business for decades and even though his model is a quick in and out, concentrating on markets with limited potential for new supply will pay for itself upon resale. Overall, Gamble has successfully joined his knowledge of smart hotel acquisitions with progressive electronic marketing to deliver exceptional returns for his partners. Since creating his Revenue Generating Program, Gambles’ most recent acquisitions have experienced the greatest and quickest revenue increases to date.

EDWARD KALASHIAN

EDWARD KALASHIAN

Chief Operating Officer

Edward brings over twenty years of hospitality management Experience to GLI. He joined GLI’s property management subsidiary, GL Hospitality Advisors (GLHA) in June of 2019 as Chief Operating Officer to oversee the hotel management process. His responsibilities include revenue and profitability oversight for the entire portfolio, building the desired culture, and strengthening the company’s infrastructure.  Edward has established strategic plans where every hotel will consistently achieve or exceed key metrics and focus on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, training and developing top performers to ensure business plan success. As an integral part of the management team, his expertise will bolster the company’s aggressive growth plans. 

 Before joining GLHA, Edward served in Executive leadership roles with Buckhead America Hospitality and PAH Management from 2012-2019. He has successfully opened and renovated hotels and managed the leadership teams at a variety of limited to full-service properties.  Edward brings brand experience across the IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Best Western, Hyatt and Choice platforms. 

 Edward graduated in 1997 with a degree in Hospitality Management from Milwaukee Area Technical College, also serving as chapter Vice President of the Future Hospitality Managers of America Association. Edward is a dedicated family man, married with two beautiful children. In his spare time, he is an avid football fan and enjoys his hi-tech gadgets.

ROBERT LEROUX

ROBERT LEROUX

Corporate Controller

Robert is responsible for all financial operations for the company, including financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and auditing. He has worked in the hospitality industry for more than thirty years at the property and corporate levels, mostly in financial management. Prior to joining Buckhead America Hospitality, Rob worked for Pattni Lodging Group and CUSA in the Atlanta area, and has also worked in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Kansas, and Missouri.
